FRENCH PRESS

WHAT YOU NEED
Coffee
French Press
Grinder
Kettle
Scale
Timer
Spoon or mixing device

STEP 1

Bring water to a boil in your kettle, about 800 g for a 32-oz press.

STEP 2

Weigh out 62 g of coffee, about 9 tablespoons.

STEP 3

Grind coffee on a course setting.

STEP 4

Add coffee to the bottom of the empty french press and pour about 800 g of water on the grounds. 

STEP 5

Carefully pour 800 g of water over the grounds, filling the French Press to just below the bottom of the pouring spout. Let stand for one minute, allowing the coffee to absorb the water. Give a quick, gentle stir to evenly immerse the grounds into the brew. Cover the French Press. 

STEP 6

Let the coffee steep for 4 minutes, then gently and slowly, push the plunger down, pushing the coffee grounds to the bottom of the French Press.
